Easy Mini Cinnamon Rolls

I had a craving for cinnamon rolls a few weeks ago, but didn’t feel like waiting hours waiting for dough to rise, etc. I found this awesome recipe on recipezaar that used crescent roll dough. These little things were SO good, especially right out of the oven. I really didn’t like the frosting it made, it was a little to powder sugar tasting, but it was still ok. Next time I will make the same rolls and better icing.

  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • melted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1 drop vanilla

  1. Unroll dough, and separate into 4 rectangles; pinch seams together to make one big rectangle of dough.
  2. Brush melted butter onto dough.
  3. Stir together sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over buttered dough.
  4. Roll up jellyroll fashion, starting with a long side; press edges to seal.
  5. Cut the log into slices and place slices, cut side down, into lightly greased muffin/cupcake pans.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
  7. Stir together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls. (Again, I would replace with something more tasty!)

I just made these! I agree about the icing. Not bad, but definitely needs something better! Thanks for the recipe!
